About PDF Splitter

PixelCanvas Studio's PDF Splitter helps separate a PDF into smaller documents. You can split every page individually, select specific pages or work with a page range. This can be useful when only part of a document needs to be shared or saved separately.

How to split a PDF

  1. Upload your PDF.
  2. Choose how you want to split the document.
  3. Select individual pages or enter a page range when applicable.
  4. Select Split PDF.
  5. Review the split summary.
  6. Download the resulting PDF files.

Individual pages vs page ranges

Splitting every page creates separate PDF files for each page. Selecting individual pages is useful when you need only a few pages. A page range is useful when a continuous section of a document belongs together.

Removing unwanted pages

If you need to permanently remove pages rather than create separate files, select only the pages you want to keep and create a new PDF from those pages. Always keep the original PDF until you have confirmed that the new files contain everything you need.

Tip:

For large PDFs, decide the exact pages or ranges before starting. This makes the final files easier to name, organize and share.

Privacy and file handling

The intended production workflow can split PDFs directly in the browser using a client-side PDF library. Selected files do not need to be uploaded to a server for that workflow. Review the PixelCanvas Studio Privacy Policy for the site's broader analytics, advertising and data practices.
