Passport photo dimensions
Passport and identity-photo dimensions are not universal. Different countries, authorities and application systems can require different physical dimensions, pixel dimensions, background rules, head positioning and image specifications. The presets on this tool are starting points, not a guarantee that a photo meets the requirements of a particular authority.
Always check the current official requirements for the country or authority receiving your application before submitting a photo. A correctly sized image can still be rejected if it does not meet other requirements such as facial position, expression, lighting, background, image quality or digital-file rules.
Preparing a better passport-style photo
Use even lighting, face the camera directly, keep the head naturally positioned and avoid strong shadows or distracting backgrounds. Make sure the entire face is visible and follow any official rules about glasses, head coverings, clothing and expression that apply to your application.
Print-sheet layout
The print-sheet option places multiple copies of the prepared photo onto a printable page area. Printer margins, paper size and physical print scaling can affect the final result, so verify the printed dimensions with a ruler before using the sheet for an application.
Keep the original photograph. If an authority requires a different size or crop later, having the original gives you more flexibility.
Privacy and file handling
This tool prepares the photo in your browser. The selected image is loaded locally for the editing operations on this page and does not need to be uploaded to a server for the basic crop, resize and layout functions. See the PixelCanvas Studio Privacy Policy for information about website analytics, advertising and other data practices.
